Michigan Technological University seeks Food Service Helpers to perform in areas of food service to include food preparation and production, including customer service, equipment operation, and cashier duties. This is a 1st shift, 12 month position at jobs.

 

Responsibilities and Essential Duties

 

• Maintain records and prepare required reports in assigned area.
• Food orders, class schedules, inventory management, and electronic cash management readers for cards and registers. Pay for the accounting.
• Responsible for cleaning in the assigned area.
• Understand and interpret recipes.
• Perform tasks related to catering, such as setting up and serving amiable and cordial manner
• Keep food items and their components in good condition. Adhere to current uniform policy as posted.
• Participate in any training from the company.
• In selected or designative areas, conduct daily, weekly, or monthly physical inventories. as directed by the manager.
• SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Functional supervision may be exercised over student assistants and other support staff.

 

Required Education, Certifications, Licensures

Intermediates or Bachelor. 

Required Experience

In indeed jobs your Experience working in a food industry or working with food production in restaurant or hotel kitchen or similar food service operation.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities

• Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• you have the ability to learn from your team members and learn new skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work with your team members or managers.
• Your communication with customers and team or staff members is very important.
