Responsibilities:
- – Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- – Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- – Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
- – Assist with mobility and transfers of patients
- – Collect specimens for laboratory testing, including venipuncture and urine samples
- – Assist with sterile processing of medical equipment and supplies
- – Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- – Provide support to patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- – Collaborate with the nursing team to develop and implement care plans
Qualifications:
- – Valid certification as a nursing assistant or completion of a nursing assistant training program
- – Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
- – Experience in acute care or nursing home setting is preferred
- – Familiarity with electronic medical record systems is a plus
- – Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- – Ability to work with a team.
